ARJUNA BEACH, GOA
With its fluorescent painted palm trees and full moon parties, Anjuna Beach,
8-km west of Mapusa, is one of the most popular beaches of Goa. Most people's
reasons for coming to Anjuna are the same as they were in the 1970s: dancing
and lying on the beach slurping tropical fruit. While browsing in the area have
a day trip to the famous flea market of Anjuna, a major shopping hangout, beside

GOPALPUR ON SEA, ORRISA

One
of the most pristine beaches of Orissa, this small beach is a splendid retreat
for sea worshippers, located about 16-km from Berhampur. Once a humming seaport,
Gopalpur offers its visitors a slice of serenity in environs that are conducive
to introspection and conviviality. One can still see the crumbling walls and
pillars of the jetty, witness to its past glory of commercial activity. The
pleasures of the Blue Beach and the Blue Bay of her backwaters continue to lure
the water babies. Gopalpur-on-Sea is a surfer's delight and excellent for sailing.
Discovery of a Holiday Hideout: Originally, a small fishing village on the coast
of Orissa, it was so named when a temple dedicated to Lord Krishna was constructed
some time in the 18th century. Apart from its temple, Gopalpur was distinguished
for its magnificent beach and was discovered as a perfect winter resort.

Chilika Lake: Situated at a distance of 45-km from Gopalpur and spreading
over an area of 1,100-sq-km, this is the largest brackish water lake in the
country and attracts large number of migratory birds.
Taptapani: As the name suggests, is a hot water sulphur spring situated
around 67-km from Gopalpur

Day 01: Arrive Mumbai

Day 02: Mumbai
Morning after breakfast city tour visiting Kamla Nehru Park and Hanging Gardens
situated on the slopes of Malabar Hill, offering a panoramic view of Marine
Drive, Chowpatty Beach, Prince of Wales Museum, Mani Bhawan, Dhobi Ghat, Gateway
of India and drive through the Crawford market, Marine Drive & Flora Fountain.
Overnight in Mumbai.
Day 03: Mumbai -Trivandrum - Poovar Island
Morning transfer to airport to board flight for Trivandrum. On arrival trasfer
to Poovar Island Resort(32 kms / 45 min). Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight
at Poovar island resort.
Day 04: Poovar Island
Full day at leisure.
Day 05: Poovar Island - Kovalam
Morning drive to Kovalam beach (30 kms / 30 min ) on arrival check in at hotel
. Rest of the day at Leisure. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 06: Kovalam - Varkala
Morning drive to Varkala ( 60 kms / 1 hour )
Varkala : Varkala is a small seaside town in Kerala, has been a Hindu pilgrimage
site since the 12th Century. To this day, the 800 hundred year old Janardhana
Temple remains a popular pilgrimage spot.
On arrival check in at hotel . Rest of the day at Leisure. Overnight at the
Hotel.
Day 07 : Varkala
Varkala is also blessed with an unspoilt, golden beach, lapped by the waters
of the Indian Ocean. Rest of the day free for own activities visit the Portugese
church of Anjengo dated to the time of occupation, which maybe the Elanchoros
of the geography of Ptomempee (2nd century A.D.). Also visit the English Fort
constructed in 1695 A.D. by the English 'East India Company'.
Day 08: Varkala - Mararikulam (180 kms / 4 hours ) Mararikulam : The Marari
Breach is not the place for a raucous beach holiday. There are no rave parties
here, no noisy water scooters, no sellers of trinkets. But for those seeking
to undo the stresses of city life and experience a completely new pace, it is
the perfect spot.
The village of Mararikulam is tucked away behind a line of dense palms that
rise like a sudden rampart of green out of the sands. Like all villages, it
has evolved naturally, in picturesque disorder. Morning drive to mararikulam,On
arrival check in at hotel . Rest of the day at Leisure. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 10: Mararikulam - Alleppy - Cochin ( 70 kms / 1.30 hours )
Morning drive to cochin via Alleppy at alleppy you can enjoy back water cruise,
continue drive to cochin.
Upon arrival transfer to hotel .Overnight at cochin.
Day 11: Cochin
Morning sightseeing tour of Cochin or "Kochi"- the palm green, commercial
capital of Kerala, which has one of the finest natural harbours & is known
as the "Queen of the Arabian Sea". From time immemorial, Arabs, Chinese,
Dutch, British & Portuguese seafarers followed the sea route to Kochi &
left their impression on the town. Visit the Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue,
the Church of St. Francis, the Bolghatty Palace & the famousChinese fishing
nets.
Day 12 : Cochin - Mumbai - Aboard

Day 02: Chennai -Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram

Morning
panaromic sightseeing of chennai city ,later proceed to Kanchipuram (70 kms
/ 2hours )Kanchipuram is the ancient capital of the Pallavas famous as a city
of 1000 Temples and still has 124 shrines. The first temple dedicated to Shiva
was built in the 7th and 8th century and has paintings on the walls. Temples
of Ekambaswara, Kailasanatha, Sri Kamakshi and Varadarajaswamy are of interest.
After visiting Kanchipuram proceed for Mahabalipuram(65 kms / 1. 30 hours).

Day 03: Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry
Morning visit Mahabalipuram : The city of Mahabalipuram is famous for the
seven pagodas. Here on the seashore is an interesting group of ancient rock
cut temples which are the examples of Dravidian style of Architecture.
Drive to Pondicherry, visiting Auroville en route. Check in to hotel at Pondicherry.
Visit Aurobindo Ashram. Overnight at Pondicherry.
Day 04: Pondicherry -Thanjavur ( 240 kms / 6 hours )
After breakfast at hotel, drive to Tanjore also known as Thanjavur (The rice
bowl of Tamil Nadu). Don't miss the famous Chola Temple of Brihadeeshwara -
a World Heritage Monument! Its bronze handicrafts make Tanjore one of the highlights
of the tour to South India. The majesty of the palaces and the art gallery attached
to the temple is really awe-inspiring. It is also famous for the silk. Overnight
at Tanjore.
Day 05 : Tanjore - Madurai ( 150 kms / 4 .30 hours )
Breakfast at hotel. Later leave for Madurai. Madurai, the lotus-shaped city
is over 2500 years old and is the second largest city of Tamil Nadu
Day 06: Madurai
Morning visit the great Meenakshi Temple dedicated to the consort of Lord
Shiva with its towering gopurams (rising high above the surrounding country
side). Later, visit the Tirumala Nayak Palace - A gracious building in the
Indo saracenic style, famous for the Stucco work on its domes & arches.
Also visit the Alagar Hills and Tirupara Kundran Rock temple. Afternoon free.
Overnight Madurai.
Day 07: Madurai - Periyar (134 kms / 3.30 hours )
Morning drive to Periyar National Park. Set up in 1934,it extends to 777 square
kms & forms part of the high mountain ranges, the Western Ghats. Wild life
can be seen while cruising on Periyar Lake in a motor boat. Amongstthe animals
which can be seen are elephants, wild boar, sambar, tiger, leopard, wild dog,
langur monkeys, etc. Overnight Periyar.
Day 08:Periyar - Alleppey - Kumarkom
Morning drive to Alleppy (Proceed to the backwaters of Alleppey, for a memorable
day & night cruise, aboard a Kettuvallam, the luxurious traditional houseboat,
which is a fabulous way to explore the fascinating beauty of the backwaters!
The boat will take you through the virgin villages of Kuttanad - the only
location in Kerala, situated below sea level,then proceed for Kumarkom.
Overnight at Kumarkoam.
Day 09 : Kumarkom - Cochin (90 kms/ 2 hours)

Morning
drive from Kumarkoam to Cochin., on arrival transfer to hotel in Cochin. Optinal
: Evening : Kathakali dance show. Overnight at hotel.
