Day 01: Arrive Chennai

On
arrival at Chennai International airport you will be met by our representative,
displaying placard addressed to your name, you will be welcomed with traditional
Indian Hospitality with flowers & beautiful stroll. Our representative will
escort you to your Hotel and there you can discuss your programme in detail
and clear your doubts
Day 02: Chennai
In the morning, proceed for city tour of Chennai visiting Museum (Closed on
Fridays and holidays). Drive through the flower and fruit market, High Court,
Fort Museum, Marina Beach, San Thome Cathedral and Snake Park.
Day 03: Chennai -Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram
Morning proceed to Kanchipuram (70 kms / 2hours )Kanchipuram is the ancient
capital of the Pallavas famous as a city of 1000 Temples and still has 124
shrines. The first temple dedicated to Shiva was built in the 7th and 8th
century and has paintings on the walls. Temples of Ekambaswara, Kailasanatha,
Sri Kamakshi and Varadarajaswamy are of interest.
After visiting Kanchipuram proceed for Mahabalipuram(65 kms / 1. 30 hours).
Mahabalipuram : The city of Mahabalipuram is famous for the seven pagodas.
Here on the seashore is an interesting group of ancient rock cut temples which
are the examples of Dravidian style of Architecture.
After visiting Mahabalipuram return back to chennai. Overnight at Hotel
Day 04: Chennai -Trichy
Morning transfer to raiway station to board train for Trichy.on arrival proceed
for city tour of Trichy. Visit the ancient temples dedicated to Lord Ganapathi,
434 steps cut out into the rock side and interspersed with shrines, lead to
the temple. Visit SRIRANGAM, a massive temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu sprawled
on a Island in CAUVERY RIVER which contains within its walls a Bazaar (TRADITIONAL
MARKET OF INDIA) as well. Gaze up at the twenty-one magnificent towers of
the temple surrounded by seven walls.
Overnight at Trichy.
Day 05: Trichy - Tanjavur - Madurai
Morning drive to Tanjavur ( 56 kms / 1 hour ) also known as Thanjavur (The
rice bowl of Tamil Nadu). Don't miss the famous Chola Temple of Brihadeeshwara
- a World Heritage Monument! Its bronze handicrafts make Tanjore one of the
highlights of the tour to South India. It is also famous for the silk.
Later proceed to Madura( 150 kms / 4 hours ) on arrival checkin at Hotel . Overnight
at Madurai.
Day 06 : Madurai
Morning visit the great Meenakshi Temple dedicated to the consort of Lord
Shiva with its towering gopurams (rising high above the surrounding country
side). Later, visit the Tirumala Nayak Palace - A gracious building in the
Indo saracenic style, famous for the Stucco work on its domes & arches.
Also visit the Alagar Hills and Tirupara Kundran Rock temple. Afternoon free.
Overnight Madurai
Day 07: Madurai - Kanya Kumari - Kovalam
Morning drive to Kanya kumari (cape comorin )253 kms / 6hours .Kanya Kumari
the last end of India where three Oceans meet. Visit : The Vivekananda rock
in the island is reachable by the govt ferry. There is also a recently built
memorial to Tiruvalluvar, the author of the philosophical work Tirukkural
- a treatise on the Indian way of life. The temple of Kumari Amman (the virgin
lady) and Gandhi Memorial are some of the finest attractions.
Continue to Kovalam(90 kms / 2 hours )and on arrival transfer to hotel ,
Overnight at Kovalam.
Day 08: Kovalam
Full day Free at leisure.
Day 09: Kovalam - Alleppey - Cochin
Drive to Alleppey 180 kms/ 4 hours (Alappuzha)- the land of backwaters,
so as to reach at 12.00noon to board the private House Boat that is waiting
to take you on a tour through the backwaters, a splendid area full of canals,
lakes and coves. Later drive to cochin(56 kms / 1.30 hours)
Day 10: Cochin
Morning sightseeing tour of Cochin or "Kochi"- the palm green, commercial
capital of Kerala, which has one of the finest natural harbours & is known
as the "Queen of the Arabian Sea". From time immemorial, Arabs, Chinese,
Dutch, British & Portuguese seafarers followed the sea route to Kochi &
left their impression on the town. Visit the Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue,
the Church of St. Francis, the Bolghatty Palace & the famousChinese fishing
nets . overnight at Hotel
Day 11: Cochin - Chennai
Check out from the hotel according to flight timing and the tour ends today
with a departure transfer to Chennai airport, according to your flight timing.

drive to Periyar National Park. Set up in 1934,it extends to 777 square kms
& forms part of the high mountain ranges, the Western Ghats. Wild life can
be seen while cruising on Periyar Lake in a motor boat. Amongstthe animals which
can be seen are elephants, wild boar, sambar, tiger, leopard, wild dog, langur
monkeys, etc. Overnight Periyar.
Day 08:Periyar - Alleppey - Kumarkom
Morning drive to Alleppy (Proceed to the backwaters of Alleppey, for a memorable
day & night cruise, aboard a Kettuvallam, the luxurious traditional houseboat,
which is a fabulous way to explore the fascinating beauty of the backwaters!
The boat will take you through the virgin villages of Kuttanad - the only
location in Kerala, situated below sea level,then proceed for Kumarkom.
Overnight at Kumarkoam.
Day 09 : Kumarkom - Cochin (90 kms/ 2 hours)
Morning drive from Kumarkoam to Cochin., on arrival transfer to hotel in Cochin.

Day 09: Periyar - Madurai (134 Kms/3.5 Hours)
Drive towards Madurai upon arrival check in at Hotel. Fresh up yourself and
